Historic Planning District Remodel

Gagliolo Residence, Washington, DC

The project consists of an interior remodel and addition to create a new kitchen and a master suite on the second floor. The addition, in an historic planning district, was designed to fit into the existing American four square vocabulary and to move the living spaces away from the street. The kitchen was created with a central island where guests would interact with the chef owner.

Some of the design elements include:

• First Floor Kitchen and powder room
• Second Floor new master bed room suite
• Basement: New Entry and new bathroom
